Online Seminar 1: “We have a very big backyard!” Blogging from the classroom to the world
Speaker: Anne Mirtschin - Hawkesdale P12 College
When: Tuesday 15 April - 3.30 to 4.30pm
Where: Online in Elluminate. You can view Anne’s slides above, and listen to the full recording of her session here.
Anne Mirtschin started blogging in 2007 with Our Own Backyard, a place for her Hawkesdale Year 8 students to write, talk and draw about where they lived. Six months after those first steps, all Hawkesdale students from years 4 to 10 have their own blogs and their rural community in Western Victoria has joined a global network of classroom bloggers. Join Anne for this hands-on one hour online seminar to find out more about working with students, teachers and technologies to set up and use classroom blogs.
You can listen to a recording of this session here. If you attended the session, you can evaluate the session here. You can also subscribe to receive information about future events.

“I started blogging in July 2007, and then created a blog for our students to tell us about their backyards. I was sole administrator of this one. However, in 2008 all students from years 4-10 have individual blogs.”
This session will illustrate
